Jerk Soda Cookie Flavour Drops
Dough and butter. A soft, sweet dough base sits under a sharp, buttery baked crust, the two held together by a sweet cream that finishes soft rather than sharp.
It is a concentrate, one note, a drop rather than a spoon.
Strength
Concentrated, not premixed: no glycerine, no spoon, just a drop into whatever you are drinking.
Where to start
One drop in 150 ml is where the label sends you first. Taste it before deciding whether the crust or the dough should lead.
When to add it
In a hot drink, add it once the hot part is made: the shot pulled, the tea steeped or the milk off the heat. Stir it through before anything else goes in. In a syrup, add it on the way down, once the syrup has cooled to about 40 degrees. Heat takes the brightest part of a flavour first.
In a syrup
Stir 5 ml, a teaspoon, into a cooled 400 ml batch of simple or rich syrup, and about 7 ml of it flavours a 250 ml glass. How to make a flavoured syrup has both syrups, and the syrup calculator scales them.
