Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information Basedrop collects, why, and what you can do about it. Basedrop is operated by Kiwi Pak Limited.
What we collect
When you buy something we collect your name, email address, delivery address and phone number, and our payment provider handles your card details. We never see or store full card numbers.
When you sign up to our email list, ask to be told when a product is back, or vote in a flavour poll, we collect the email address you give us and nothing else.
Like most websites we also collect basic technical information automatically: IP address, browser, and which pages you looked at.
Why we collect it
To take and send your order, to answer you when you contact us, and, if you have asked for it, to email you about products. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Who else sees it
Our website runs on Shopify, and orders are shipped using a fulfilment service. Those providers see what they need to do their job and no more. We may disclose personal information if the law requires it.
Marketing email
We only send marketing email to people who have asked for it. Every one has a working unsubscribe link, and we honour it. This is your right under the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. We will respond within 20 working days. Some information has to be kept for tax and consumer-law reasons even after you ask us to delete it.
Keeping it safe
Access is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure and we will not pretend otherwise, but we will tell you promptly if something goes wrong that affects you.
