Jerk Soda Cream Flavour Drops
Layered dairy. Vanilla bean ice cream sits underneath, a clean fresh cream runs over it, and a thicker sweet cream behind that rounds off the sharp edges. It softens an acidic coffee and gives a fruit blend something to sit on.
This is a concentrate: one note, no glycerine, added a drop at a time to a drink you already have.
Strength
A concentrate, not a premix: nothing in the bottle is diluted with glycerine, so it goes in by the drop rather than the spoon.
Where to start
The label starts you at one drop in 150 ml. Taste it there before deciding whether the second drop is worth adding.
When to add it
In a hot drink, add it once the hot part is made: the shot pulled, the tea steeped or the milk off the heat. Stir it through before anything else goes in. In a syrup, add it on the way down, once the syrup has cooled to about 40 degrees. Heat takes the brightest part of a flavour first.
In a syrup
Stir 5 ml, a teaspoon, into a cooled 400 ml batch of simple or rich syrup, and about 7 ml of it flavours a 250 ml glass. How to make a flavoured syrup has both syrups, and the syrup calculator scales them.
